Slayton House has three rental rooms. The 2,050-square-foot Gene Weiss Room holds 120 for a wedding reception, banquet or business meeting. The room is also used for dance and exercise classes. Within this room is a 630-square-foot, handicapped accessible, stage with full lighting and sound capabilities.  Electronically released raked seating changes the room to 240-seat theatre for plays, dance and piano recitals. A retractable movie screen also allows cinema productions. For theatre rentals, Slayton House also has a 1570-square-foot rehearsal hall/set construction room and two small dressing rooms.

Two smaller rooms are ideal for meetings, classes, and small social gatherings of 45 people or less.  The carpeted Bill White Room, 476-square-feet, is also part of the Slayton House Gallery. This room along with the 864-square-foot lobby houses monthly juried art shows. The lobby is also rented during hours when the building is not open to the public. The second smaller room, the Wilde Lake Room, 500 square feet, has a simulated wood Sport Court floor, one wall of mirrors and is also used as a tap dance studio.  Slayton House has a 1,484-square-foot dance studio for ballet and modern dance classes.

TV/VCRs, white boards, overhead and slide projectors, microphones and hearing assist equipment are available for meetings at a small fee. A licensed kitchen, off the main room, is available for caterers use.

Rental fees are based on hourly use, with a discount for Columbia residents who pay the CPRA assessment.  Three Wilde Lake Neighborhood Centers are also rentable for meetings in the evening or on weekends for adult groups of 35 or less.
